Yes, it’s one year old today, I can’t believe it! What an amazing opportunity to assemble and write this book, to get to know all these sketchers (156 contributors from 39 countries!) during the depths of the Covid quarantines. On any given day I was exchanging messages with artists on 3 or 4 continents. I worked on it 7 days a week for over a year and a half, but it lifted my spirits and inspired me every day. I loved every minute of it.
Heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful contributors, and to acquisitions editor Joy Aquilino at Quarto publishing, and everyone there who worked on the book, and to everyone who now has it as part of their library. What an honor this is.

You are a rock star. Kudos for pulling this book of urban sketcherâs work together. I must say, you are living the dream. In the meantime, I will keep busy sketching and water coloring and dream thru your travels. I do think that as architects, we have an edge in this endeavor.

I LOVE this book! When I first got it I savored every page and went slowly through it to absorb as much as I could. Then this past 2 weeks I took it on a vacation, sort of, and read it every evening! I see new things every time I look at the wonderful artists, their artwork and the great layouts. Thank you so much for all the time you invested to produce this superb book!

I submitted a comment on your Instagram page (happy_2bhappy) and I must also repeat it by saying “I bought the Book and Love the Book!” Since getting “the Book”, I started urban sketching with a local group and it is one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. Three years ago, sketching became a daily habit and now sketching on location with a group or solo has improved how I see things. I keep your “Book” close to my easy chair for quick access. It makes me “HAPPY!”
